What is home health?
Home health is professional, caring services at home. Our home health staff will provide a full range of health care and services to the patient and their family in familiar and comforting home surroundings.
Home health care promotes family integrity and the independence of the individual in need of care. By relieving the stresses associated with caring for a loved one at home, home health contributes to a better overall quality of life. The program can be short or long term and is good for all ages.
When is home health appropriate?
Home care is best suited for individuals who do not need the 24-hour, around the clock supervision and monitoring that only hospitals or nursing facilities can provide. It is suited for post surgical and wound care.

How is home health paid for?
Our services can be paid for by a variety of sources. Both private and public insurance programs cover most home health cost, the major sources of payment for home health are Medicare, Medicaid, private health insurance, workers compensation and HMO’s. Staff Members
Registered Nurses – Providing skilled observation and complex care, our RNs will also teach patients and family members to care for the patient in the home and report significant observations to the physician.
Aides – Helping the patient achieve greater independence of daily activities, Aides assisting with bathing, walking, dressing and eating.
Speech Therapists – Also a member of our home health team, speech therapists work with the family and patient to improve communication skills.
Physical Therapists – Offer the homebound patient professional treatment designed to renew or increase mobility, our physical therapists will also teach exercises for muscle strength.
Occupational Therapist – Our friendly occupational therapists work with patients needing help in activities of daily living to promote independence despite health problems.
Medical Social Services –As part of our team, medical social workers provide counseling, long range and community resource planning and aide in decision-making.
